The yard is back at full speed

We had many vessels at the yard when Covid19 hit Denmark, and despite the difficulties that arose due to the lock-down of society, we managed to redeliver the vessels on time. This could only have happened because of increased utilization of our local workforce and the large flexibility from the foreign inspectors to finish the job before heading home.

As a consequence of the closed borders from mid March we had cancellations and postponements of the orders, that were booked in April and May. Because of this we were forced to send home 86 of our 187 blue-collar workers due to the reduced workload.  Throughout the entire situation we have followed the authorities advice, and fortunately we have not had a single coincidence with Corona-virus on the yard.

We are now back at full speed – all blue-collar workers are back, and we currently have 8 vessels in the yard. The main part of the workload is coming from new projects including three fishing vessels, two OSV´s, a tanker, and an inspection vessel. Furthermore, we have some postponed projects to be executed in the next few months. This summer is for sure going to be busier than previous years.
