Spotlight on the Nordics: Orskov Yard featured in Drydock Magazine

In the newly released issue of Drydock Magazine, we’re proud to showcase some of our recent dockings and offer a glimpse inside our vibrant shipyard at the northern tip of Europe.

The article covers the comprehensive dockings of Horizon Arctic, Windea Jules Verne, Markus, and Fugro Synergy. Four very different vessels and project scopes with one shared challenge: delivering complex, one-stop service solutions to meet each customer’s unique needs and schedule.

In 2024, more than 100 vessels visited Orskov Yard for refits and repairs, and 2025 is shaping up to be just as busy. We invest continuously in our docks, quays, workshops, and equipment to provide ship crews with the best possible facilities.

Our latest upgrade was a rail-mounted tower crane, now in operation at Dock 5, enhancing lifting capacity and streamlining workflows in one of the yard’s busiest areas. With a total height of 78.1 meters, a reach of 63.4 meters, and a 120-meter-long rail track, the crane significantly improves operational efficiency at the dock and along the adjacent quay area.
